DORABELLE MARIE RUPERT Dorabelle Marie Rupert, age 92, a 16-year resident of Bullhead City, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011, in Bullhead City, Ariz. Dorabelle was born on January 30, 1919, in Lafayette, Ohio, to parents, Lowell and Wilma (James) McQuown, Sr., of Lafayette, Ohio. Dorabelle lived in Ada, Ohio, until 1967 when she married and moved to St. Marys, Ohio, until her husband passed away in 1994. Then in 1995, she moved to Bullhead City, where she since resided. Dorabelle was employed during her life as a seamstress and waitress. She was also a member of numerous organizations and womens’ clubs, as follows: Mother’s Club, Liberty Grange, Farm Bureau Council, Farmers Community Institute, American Legion Ladies Aux., Eight & Forty, Eagles, Crochet Club, president of PTA, Prof. Bus. Womens’s Assoc., and Clef Club. She was also a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church in Ada, Ohio, and Hope United Methodist Church in Bullhead City, Ariz. Dorabelle was preceded in death by her two husbands, Justin Shadley and Norbert Rupert; brother, Lowell McQuown, Jr.; and sister, Betty Ludwig. Dorabelle is survived by her two children, Pamela (husband Duane, deceased) Thomson of Forest, Ohio and E. Wesley (Deb) Shadley of Bullhead City, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Dan (Wendy) Thomson of Forest, Ohio; Doreen (Eric) Flowers of Forest, Ohio; Jennifer (Trevor) Wagner of Amarillo, Texas; Megan (Keith) Norgrove of Edgewood, N.M.; Rachel (Chris) Nuchols of Bullhead City, Ariz.; and Ethan Shadley of Bullhead City, Ariz.; eight great-grandchildren, Corey Thomson, Brayden Flowers, Brenna Flowers, Alex Wagner, Hannah Wagner, Roland Wagner, Aja Norgrove, and Kail Norgrove; and 11 nieces and nephews. JAMES H. DICKSON James H. Dickson, age 68, of Laughlin, Nev., passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nev. Jim was born in Burkburnett, Texas, on April 10, 1942. Jim worked at the Colorado Belle Casino in the Slots department for many years. After several years of retirement, he decided to go back to work. At the time of his death, he was working for the Golden Nugget where he made many new friends, and truly loved the feeling of being useful again. He was preceded in death by his father, Thurman Dickson, his mother, Eva Hart Dickson, and his wife, Jill Edge Dickson. Jim is survived by his companion, Sandy Hamblen of Laughlin, Nev.; sister, Jo Phillips of Spring, Texas; brother-in-law, Dennis Edge of Dallas, Texas; three nieces, Cay (Mike) Johnson of Pearland, Texas, Lynne Hormick of Spring, Texas, and Ginger (Mark) Dann of Dallas, Texas; nephew, Mike Edge of Ft. Worth, Texas; two great-nieces, four great-nephews, two great-great-nieces, and one great-great-nephew, all residing in Texas; and six adopted grandchildren. Jim is now with God in Heaven but he will be truly missed by all the many hearts he has touched. Graveside memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs, Texas. JO ANN HAYLEY Jo Ann Hayley, age 79, a 31-year resident of Mohave Valley, Ariz., passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011. She was an avid quilter and depression glass collector. She retired from Mohave County in 1997, where she had worked for 10 years. Jo Ann was the best mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, not only to her own children but to many others. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, and son, Rodney. Jo Ann leaves behind her three daughters, Tina (Robert), Tammie (Jack), and Terrie (James); 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. LARRY BYRON COTE, SR. Larry Byron Cote, Sr., age 57, a 14-year resident of Mohave Valley, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011, in Mohave Valley, Ariz. He was born November 12, 1953, in Loma Linda, Calif. Larry served our country in the United States Army. He was an electrical contractor, and Owner of A&L Electric. He enjoyed four-wheel driving, ocean and fresh water fishing, sailing, and skeet shooting. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Robert Henry Cote, his mother, Florence LaVerne Cote, and his brother, Robert A. Cote. He is survived by his two sons, Larry Byron Cote, Jr. of Fort Mohave, and Adam Robert Cote of Bullhead City; sister, Wendy Nielson of Hemet, Calif.; two grandchildren, Seth Robert Cote and Wyatt Alan Cobb of Fort Mohave; daughters-in-law, Melissa Ann Cobb-Cote of Fort Mohave, and Reneé Lynn Cote of Bullhead City; and former wife, Sheri Jean Cote of Fort Mohave.
