Alicia Maria Reimer born Alicia Melgarejo, died on March 9, 2011 at 89 years old. She was born in Mexico City to a renowned Electrical Engineer and an American mother, where she remembered waiving to Diego Rivera while he was painting in Chapultepec Park. She moved to the United States and settled in her mother's home state of New Jersey, after her father passed away. There she met her husband of 46 years and worked in Manhattan as a secretary. She had one son who she said was the best thing that ever happened to her. Alicia was a woman who had fine taste and manners and took pride in an elegant but modest home. She was active in social organizations and was a member of Daughters of the Revolution. She and her husband retired to Green Valley, Arizona in 1980 where they enjoyed frequent visits to Mexico, and where she worked part time for the local paper. She was an animal lover and always had a pet in her home, including fostering a cat for a serviceman who was deployed. She was interested in the genealogy of her family and traced it back to the first American colonies as well as an avid reader of an eclectic variety of literature. She had a unique sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh even as her health was failing. She is survived by her son, Paul William Reimer of Brooklyn, New York and granddaughters, Aurora Helm and Violet Reimer. Her family would like to extend their warm thanks to the staff at 100 Palms in Tucson, Arizona, the facility that cared for her and especially to the individual care takers who went above and beyond the call of duty to keep her comfortable and enriched the last year of her life. Daniel Boyd Wilson Jr. 84, passed away March 14, 2011, after a long illness. Dan was born in 1927 in McClellandtown, PA to Daniel and Dorothy Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Isabel; and son, Randall; sister, Betty; and brothers, Ronald and Donnie. Dan is survived by devoted wife Sandra; daughters, Karen (John) Phelps, Connie (Eldon) Clary, Kathy (Neil) Karlberg; and step-daughters, Kristen (John) Allen, Kerry (Robert) Cowen, Melissa Richardson and Michele Awana. Dan is also survived by 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind sisters, Nancy, Judy, Bonnie and Donna; brothers, Kenneth and George; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Dan served his country in the Army Air Corp during, . He moved his family to Arizona from Ohio in 1960. He was a heavy equipment operator at Pima Copper Mine for 20 years. Dan's many interests included woodworking, furniture crafting and refinishing, off-roading, and camping. What Dan loved most was spending time with his family and many friends. A special thanks to the caring staff of St. Joseph's Hospital and DaVita East Dialysis Center. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Pantano Baptist Church, 225 S. Pantano Rd., Tucson, AZ. GIL ALAN MORGAN Gil Alan Morgan, age 44, a 3-year resident of Laughlin, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2011 in Laughlin, Nev. He was born February 21, 1966, in Simi Valley, California. GUITRON, Guadalupe, March 6, 1931 - March 5, 2011, 79, of Tucson, AZ went to be with Our Lord Saturday, March 5, 2011 at her daughter's home in Maryland. Born March 6, 1931 in El Paso, TX, she was the daughter of the late Guadalupe Serna and Toribia Ramos Serna. She married Charles Joseph Guitron of San Francisco on April 14, 1952. He passed away on November 23, 2009. Lupe (as she was fondly called) worked for the advertising department of Macy's in San Francisco, CA. After retiring, Lupe and Charles moved to Tucson, AZ in 1994. Lupe was a very active member of her beloved St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, and was instrumental in starting "Thy Will Be Done" healing ministry and prayer group. Lupe is survived by three children; Lydia Foutch (Bill), Charles Francis Guitron (Maureen), and Terri Guitron Pollack (John); nine grandchildren, Kevin Foutch, David Foutch (Erin), and Robert Foutch (Michele) of Maryland, Jennifer Surowski (Chris), Alicia Smith (Kevin), Melissa Guitron, Charles Paul Guitron, and Frank Guitron of California, and Justin Pollack (Kim) of Colorado; eight great-grandchildren, Mina, Trey, Irie, and Elan Foutch, Neal Smith, Sol Pollack of New Mexico, Miles Pollack and Leila Pollack; sisters, Maria Dolores Warwick and Soledad Vargas (Max); and brother, Frank Serna (Claudette). Janis was born July 26, 1929, in Birmingham, Alabama to Max K. and Vivian M. Jones. As a young girl, Janis lived in several cities before growing up in Huntington, West Virginia. She became an accomplished musician and artist. Jan graduated from Ohio State University and for many years taught young children in Headstart and elementary schools in Pensacola, Florida, Phoenix, and Scottsdale, Arizona and finally in Laughlin, Nevada. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Karen (Robert) Moore, her daughters, Jane S. Wells and Beth S. Wichman. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard (Dick) Studeny; son, Mark A. Studeny M.D. of Huntington, West Virginia; son-in-law, David R. Jim was born in Tularosa, New Mexico on August 10, 1932. The family moved several times before settling in Blythe, California, where Jim went to grade school. They moved to Yuma in 1947 where Jim attended Yuma High School for three years. The family moved to Socorro, New Mexico, where Jim finished his high school education., Jim spent 4 years in the Navy during the Korean War. He was stationed aboard the aircraft carrier, the USS Oriskany. After his discharge, he went to the University of Arizona and obtained a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering., He began working at Yuma Proving Ground in June 1960 and retired from there in January 1988. At YPG he was a supervisory mechanical engineer in both the Air Delivery Division and the Munitions and Weapons Division. He then worked for Cortez III and EC III., Jim had many hobbies and interests. He was active for many years as a mission-rated senior pilot with the Civil Air Patrol. He rebuilt and flew a number of aircraft. He was a soaring pilot and a balloon pilot. He built a kit car. He did research and conducted oral histories for the Historical Society. He located the "City of Yuma Airplane," which set the endurance record of 1124 hours in continuous flight in 1949. He helped with its restoration and flew the plane in the 50th anniversary celebration. He also co-authored the book entitled "The Longest Flight, Yuma's Quest for the Future," authored articles published in various aviation magazines and made oral presentations to various groups. |

ROBINSON, William Thomas, Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest on the morning of March 16, 2011, William Thomas Robinson, husband of the late May Coffay Robinson. Residence, Charleston, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of William Robinson are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, March 21, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Prayers of Commendation and Farewell will be conducted Saturday, March 26, 2011 at New Cathedral Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy., Charleston, SC 29414. Mr. Robinson was born in Tucson, Arizona on August 19, 1918, son of the late William Thomas Robinson. He was a U.S., veteran and a retired tire manufacturer sales manager. Mr. Robinson was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus, Past President of Towson Maryland Kiwanis Club, President of St. Joseph's Hospitality Auxiliary, member of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher and the Eleventh Armored Division Association. He is survived by a son, William Thomas Robinson, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia of St. Augustine, FL; two daughters, Christina R. Hogarth and her husband James of Charleston, Mary M. Haub and Kent Lambert of North Potomac, MD; a sister-in-law, Eileen Coffay of Towson, MD; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great- grandchild. Donations in memory of William T.
